General BS and Laughs / 63 880 Clean Cool Driver
« on: June 20, 2010, 03:24:04 PM »
Saw this on Craigslist, went to look at it and had to buy it. Runs and drives great except for scary old tires (New ones on order) Very nice new paint. Interior decent other than headliner. 108,000 original miles. It's got a 361 with A/C, power seat, steering, brakes and push button transmission. Hasn't been butchered in any way. It will be my weekend driver along with my 62 wagon. azblackhemi2010-06-20 20:24:54

MEMBERS Project Cars in Progress / 62 HT Wagon
« on: February 20, 2010, 01:56:01 PM »
Drove through fog, rain and snow today to pick up this 62 New Yorker Hardtop Wagon. Yes Northern Arizona gets snow. It was well worth putting up with the elements because I've wanted a hardtop wagon for a long time.  It runs and drives real well.  I'm gonna clean it up a little and drive it for a while while waiting for the time to do it right. It's got a 361 that has had alot of work done and a rebuilt front end. New tires and Road Wheels that match my trailer wheels. Stan, what do you think of that? Here's some pics, whadda youse think?

General Mopar Discussions / The Wagon Train Got Longer!
« on: December 20, 2009, 09:51:39 AM »
Drove 700 miles round trip yesterday to San Diego to pick up another wagon. It's a 66 Town & Country. 440, dual snokel and exhaust,  power windows, bothfront seats are power,  third seat, cruise and tilt & tele. 64,000 original miles but has been sitting since the end of the disco era. 1980 to be exact. Does turn over and is pretty straight and solid with just some rust on the RR quarter and bottom of the tailgate. Best thing about it is the color. E1 dark blue with blue interior. I don't think I've ever seen a wagon this color. Here's some pictures. By the way you East Coast guys are gonna hate me for this but it was beautiful on the beach yesterday. azblackhemi2009-12-20 14:53:58

General Mopar Discussions / What Motor should this be?
« on: November 25, 2009, 04:11:44 PM »
I picked up a 70 Polara 2dr ht today. Appears to be a HP 383 as it is a four barrel and has the HP exhaust manifolds.  The engine code in the vin is L. Is that correct for the motor/ Thanks in advance for the answer.

General Mopar Discussions / Goodguys Show
« on: November 22, 2009, 07:03:40 PM »
Went to the Goodguys show in Scottsdale Az today. I heard that yesterday there were 4000 cars. I got there late today so it had thinned out alot but I mainly went to see two cars that I painted. Here's some pics of them.

Here is some pictures of the latest car I bought. As most of you know I've found a few live critters such as rattlesnakes and pack rats in cars I bought, but this time it was something wierd. It was hidden behind the left rear cardboard trim panel in the trunk. Somrone hid it very well. If I didn't go to change the quarter moulding I never would've found it. It's in the 3rd picture. azblackhemi2009-11-15 23:12:49

General Mopar Discussions / Snatched One From The Jaws Of A Derby Guy.
« on: November 01, 2009, 04:21:32 PM »
Well that might be a little dramatic because the Derby Guy realized that this 69 New Yorker was too nice to wreck. Anyway cash talked and I dragged another one home. Good running driving rust free complete car with a good title.

General Mopar Discussions / Fall Fling Find, Aluminum 300 Wheels
« on: October 19, 2009, 09:04:04 AM »
Found these 79 300 aluminum wheels at Fall Fling. Wheela are in real nice shape but two of the center caps have dents and two of the retainers are missing. If anyone has any retainers or caps they want to sell let me know. They are like the one at the bottom of the picture.

General Mopar Discussions / Who remembers the 2 Hurst cars in FL on E-bay?
« on: September 12, 2009, 04:24:48 PM »
Turns out one of my Mopar buddies who lives about a mile down the road from me bought them.  Both need complete resto's but they are complete. Today he offered me one of them for what he has into it.  Always wanted a 300 Hurst so I'll probably buy it. Just not sure I want to get in to a major project right now though.
