Chris' recovery and guide on how to keep busy
« on: March 16, 2008, 06:38:19 PM »

Chris, our famous C body wagon guru,is scheduled for hernia operation this Thursday.
He announced this in another thread.
Normally he does the wrenching, but it is his turn to get wrenched on..LOL
I would like to wish him a smooth operation and speedy recovery.
...At least now we all have a chance to fuel up the truck, load the trailer to snap up some cars while he's in the hospital!! LOL!!
GOD BLESS!! CHRIS!!

Yes, hope everything goes smoothly Chris! And tell them to not take too many inches off! LOL

Hernia, huh? Must be from pushing those C body wagons onto trailers and running from live rattlesnakes!

Thanks guys. It should be routine surgery. I'm just gonna have to take it easy for a while on the heavy lifting. I'm not looking forward to the pain and recovery time but 8 weeks off work sound pretty good right now. I have over 80 sick days to use and I have AFLAC so financialy I'll actually come out way ahead. I don't want to get too political but thank God for being a Union Worker and the benifits that go along with it. I guess my post count will go way up since my garage time will be severly curtailed.

Don't make me come down there.  I'm more than half way now!

I know it will take time to adjust to being idle.  I'll let you know when I get the formula

Steve, if you come down here you'll never leave. No snow warm weather and rust free "C" bodies as far as the eye can see, and that's just my yard. LOL

Had my surgery today and all went well. So far not even much pain. I haven't had to take any pain medication yet. We'll see about tommorrow though. Being on the computer, watching TV and reading will be all I can do for next week or two.  You guys will probably get sick of hearing from me by then. LOL

I was just looking for this thread to ask if anyone heard about your ordeal.

Glad it worked out.  Things are looking up.
