Chris - I know you'll do well... when I'm looking for my next car I'll
put you on the hunt, you seem to realy know how to find 'em.  And
I know a good hauler out of Phoenix, plus my youngest son's GF lives in
Tempe, he's been out there twice since June. He can be my eyes, he's a
car guy too.

Lea - sounds like youll be much happier there, so you did the right thing.

[/QUOTE] If you find something out here I'd be glad to help on this end as I tried to do with the Packard deal. Hauling something back there to you just might work as I have family back there around Albany and Poughkeepsie. If I can haul a car and maybe some of all my rust free sheet metal back there to offset my cost I'd love to drive back there and see my kin folk. Don't hesitate to ask if you find something here you need a set of eyes to check out.

Tomorrow and Tuesday we are back at the table and hope to get a contract offer to bring back to the membership for a vote. I hope so since a ratified contract has to happen for me to take the severance package and be gone from there. I'm still planning to open up shop October 1st. We'll see what happens. azblackhemi2010-09-19 22:27:29

You know how to hustle.  You could do both for a while unless it's a 5 year package or something like that. . .Then we need to find you some work.

We ratified a contract Thursday. The Union Lawyer had the company change some language in the severance contract so we should have it to sign early this week and I should be out of there a week from Monday. I hope so because I already am working at home and I'm too old for two jobs!

Free at last, free at last! Today was my last day, I'm done! I worked today since working one day in to the month makes them obligated to pay my health insurance premium for November. I am officialy on my own. Tomorrow my morning commute will be 120 feet. From the house to the shop. Got enough work to keep me busy the rest of the year with quite a few other jobs close to being locked in. My first resto job will be a 67 Barracuda Convertable. I will post pictures of the proccess from start to finish.
