Next on the list is to turn my attention back onto the BoaB itself.
I pretty much have everything I need at this point to keep me busy for the remainder of this year.
Stay tuned!

She is not alone. In the yard is a '68 Poara 500 Canadian model 318/727 2.76 gears.Very basic car..
Other cars mentionable is a '57 Chebbie,'66 Toronado, and a slew of old Dodge trucks--some with big block powerplants.
.One of the employees is an old car nut and tends to hang on to the old schtuff.

Also, the Hemi of the '60's was based on the Wedge block.
The 426 Wedge,440 and Hemi share common traits.
Eventually, when original Hemi blocks were very scarce (prior to the reproduction blocks)Siamese heads  were being used.I.E.jammong hemi heads onm a 440 or whatever.
When Ma decided to reproduce the Hemi engines again, they improved the oiling and cooling problems the '64-'71 hemi's were known for.
There was a time the repro blocks were unavailable and had long waiting lists just to get one.The manufacturer whom ma contracted the castings went belly up.Leaving Mopar scampering to retreive the molds, and find somebody to step in just to fill orders.

Car looks good cleaned up.Like a tuxedo after the dry cleaners...sharp.
It needed a lady's touch for sure..
Brakmobile? more like Bachelormobile! LOL Just kidding.
As for the tranny not downshifting, have you tried adjusting the kickdown rod at the carb? Or shifting it into 1st manually?

Car is a real turd interior and body wise. However mechanically, the car was kept up.Even the muffler and tailpipe is fairly new-it is still shiny! The gas tank has been treated and has a protective coating on it.
Even the brakes were functioning when I rolled it off the trailer!!
New parking brake cables ,new u-joints

Yes.Someone in the past swapped a lot of parts on this car.The green car was parted out. Most of the green car is in the trunk!!
Today I continued to rape the beast of parts.
The crossover and middle pipe are in great shape.I will use them.Rebuilt brake booster.Nice windshield and front bumper.

Drove a while longer picked it up at 12.Left a half hour later and got home 5 pm.Had supper,a beer and started dismantling.
I could not wait! Even after dark I was still going! Jamie and Rusty popped in and I stopped around 8 pm.
This is what I achieved in a short time..

Here is a pile of junk..What a turd..

Duals should not be too much for that car. Go 2-1/2" with cheap regular muffs. It will increase the torque range and the wife will not complain about "the noise".
A 4bbl will definetly increase MPG with its smaller primaries. That's if you can keep yer foot out of it!!
You scored a good car since it already has electronic ignition, big bolt pattern, disc brakes, and A/C.
Little needs to be done to really enjoy the car.
How about MINI-BLUE ON A BUDGET
After all it is classified as compact car in its day...

Today is my first day of holidays and will be working on her feverioushly.
Last night I tested the sending unit hotrodnwillie donated to the BoaB.It can be soldered up to stop the leak.I used my ohm reader and it does work,so in theory my guage should read what's in the tank.
I have a lot to do in a short time, and the only way to do it is get my ass away from this pooter...

Pics look decieving. All the hard work is in the rear portion of the car.All fabricated from scratch--no repro Cramaro panels here.
Ray and I are just a couple of amateurs having fun with an old C and all the toys...tools available at our disposal LOL.
The more obvious changes are coming....say tuned..
