Sounds like good progress. At least a majority of the vibration is gone, now it is some other little small detail. I guess carrier bearing first, driveline second.

As difficult as it is to even find the E bodies at a reasonable price these days, you have quite a bit to work with this time. Nice job on the blue one by the way.

Almost gets to the point a new used motorcycle would be cheaper and definitely easier to fix this issue.

So what does DMV do when the original or last owner is dead, moved, no forwarding address? One would think that after this length of time it would be an abandoned vehicle title at this point in time since it has been proven not to be stolen.  Isn't anything on a person's property that has been abandoned more than 30 days able to go through this process?

I took care of it, spammers. No rhyme or reason for it.

I can agree completely.  When the number of gears increased from three to four, the advantage was taken away from Gear Vendor transmissions, and when it went to five it became a novelty and nothing more.

Cool thing about the 4spd auto is you can get away with a couple simple wires and sensor to the carb (in this case) for kickdown, several aftermarket trans companies have the needed parts for very little cost. Compared to the GV, it is roughly half the price. Other option is to change to highway gears, 2.73s are really good for cruising and a big block can easily overcome the gears on the street.

Gearvendors goes higher than that, closer to $3500 after you get the rest of the things taken care of like driveline, the unit itself run close to $2800-3000 alone. It is actually cheaper to do the 4 or 5 speed overdrive transmission swap these days. Agree with the e-brake on the rear disc brake setup.

Didn't say it was interchangeable, said it was pretty close. Kind of like how a A and B body suspension is similar, just not interchangeable. This is the case again of actually having someone able to argue that the Neon and PT Cruiser is not on the same platform and suspension, which of course it isn't.  Thanks. Oh, and the Limited Edition, not the Touring Edition or non edition cars, is the only one to have the rear disc brakes. Top of the line only. Not sure which Neon models have the rear disc brakes.

Hey, it's your car, anything that is modified can be changed back (even if it takes a little extra work to do it), but it is your car and she is a beauty.

They were registered as trucks because the area behind the front seats to the rear are flat. The suspension is pretty close to the Neon actually. Some dimensional changes and very few of the parts actually interchange, but similar structure.

Cool. I think it is always a great feeling when personal work gets shown and noticed, something to be proud of.

The place you buffed out the sunshine convertible? Guys did a great job finishing both those cars so quickly, compared to the time it takes us all to start to finish one of our cars, I guess having the space a storage to get everything ready and on shelves in a restored state, then just simply assemble everything without the dirt, grime, rust, repairs, all that, really helps.  I bet 10,000, heck, even 2500 square feet of working space would be pretty sweet.
