Tech- - STEERING WHEELS AND SUSPENSION / Add-on PS for 1955 Plymouth
« on: April 08, 2015, 07:00:35 AM »
The box itself, I just don't know what changes in shape/design are on the 55 compared to a newer box, but there has to be something that will bolt up, or a bracket welded to the frame to make it work. 1954-1956 gives you a pretty wide range of period to locate a power steering box. Should be one out there.

Lastly, 1954-1956 are the years you are looking at for an original factory setup, imagine it would also cross over to many Dodges and possibly some Chryslers.

Got the name from tying, chaining, and sitting in trees to prevent them from being cut.

And it's going to remain there until there is a permanent pattern dictating otherwise.

Soft bacon works for me. Crispy is OK, good cold or hot, especially between bacon bread.

Looks great, getting a lot done. Love the hockey tape, found the same thing in 3M cloth tape at an electronics store, much more original looking that black sticky plastic electrical tape, which tends to fall apart from oil and heat over time,

As far as the wife and family goes, try to be close enough to get to them in an emergency, but just far enough away that it is a trip that can't be done sun up to sun down   .

Tech- - Engine / 1958 Plymouth starter question
« on: March 16, 2015, 10:05:40 PM »
Well, it appears the setup is a 361 and the case and torque converter of a 318 A488 (TF 727 w/removable bellhousing), the bellhousing changed to a 350/361 and the original starter used. The things we used to do to make things run back then. Wouldn't mind having the Golden Commando dual 4bbl carb setup on that baby, but then again, a six pack beats it every time.

Yeah, just trying to figure out the issue for the guy now, identifying the transmission was kind of half the issue. Thanks.
