Stanley, you're a couple of hours away from Ocala, arn't you?

Jeff Dunham and Walter sez, "ou're gay" to drive a Pirus!  LOL

Can you give me the web site of that dealer you mentioned, please?  I'll contact them.  (They might not beleive me LOL)
Any of those used '07's they got been in any costal storms down there?

Thanks

They are SELLING '08's and new '09's here.   They (Buick GMC place) just sold a '02 with 33K miles for 11,9!!!!  '07's are selling for 18-20!

WV has been so poor all along, now that there is a recession going on, no one here can feel it.  Every where you look there are new houses going up!

There was a big thing in day before yesterday's paper about how 3 banks here, are willing to lend a 100 mil to help the gove bail out the car co.'s

Bring back the Slant Six, sez I!!!!!

Excellent idea!
However, the demise of the six was the poloution devices. It took mor power to run the poloution feces, than the motor itself.

I got a picture on some disc, in some drawer, someplace here, that shows what the final prototype slant 6 DIESEL was to look like!

Former FwdLk guy who was a graphic artist, had a neighbor who was one of the motor engineers for Ma MoPar back in the '60's-'70's. He has a fully working slant 6 Diesel in his garage!  Clay took a picture of it and sent me.

He told me the slant 6 turbo charged Diesel was thought of, a year after GM did their 350 diesel conversion, at the end of the 440 production, for use in the HD Dodge pick-ups.
The demise of the slant 6 Diesel, Dodge truck division in the early '80's neigotated with Cummins for 'their' 5.9 motor.
The Cummins diesel used in the Dodge trucks in '89, was used in power units since it's design by Cummins in 1959.   Basically unchanged since then!

Snot/Scott.  Yes, on ebay ALL the good deals on the '07's, are in Calif, TX, and FL!
There was a Dodge dealer in FL that was seelling new 1500 Ram 4 door PU for slightly less than sticker, and giving a similiar Ram PU FREE!
By the time I heard about it, he had sold out.

See, you don't know the full story.  She wants to buy TWO similiar, (NO black, or leather) 4 door, '07's 4X4, loaded, cloth, less than 20K miles, (prefer that mileage total, 10K ea) CLEAN CARFAX ,etc, etc, for 20-21K$!
How bad are any dealers willing to unload TWO trucks at once, that they may be stuck with?!!
So far none, in the tri state area here, are not 'hurting' enough,,,,,.

Used vehicles in TX and FL I'm afraid the title information have been 'doctored' when they have been in any costal storms,  flooding.
Wifey sez she'll go to north TX,,,,,,(?)

Whew, clear out to Calif,,,,,.  By the time, two air fairs, and a weeks worth of gas/lodging for two,,,,, on the way back, would she be saving anything??  Maybe?

THANKS for the offer of checking for her,,,,,,,,,,.
You really think there could be any MoPar dealers out there, that you know of, that would go for this kind of 'twofer' deal, she wants to do?

She has to find something before the firts of the year.  Right now, up untill Jan one.  '07 vehicles uder 20K miles, are considered as a 'new' vehicle loan.  After Jan one, it's '08, under 20k miles is considered new.  (won't be able to afford to buy two after then)

,,,,,,,need some helpful advice here.  I haven't kept up with the trends.

Wifey has a 'wore out' '93, quarter miilion mile, full sized, Eddie Baurer Bronco.  (frame is rusted bad under the front quad shock mounts)
Anyway.  She wants to get a 2nd hand, '07 Dodge 1500, 4 door, short bed, 4X4 PU with all the bells and whistles.

Seems to have some bargans on ebay.  (more PU's than buyers) NO bargans around here!

Waht is the best motor trans combo to get?   I thought there was 1 motor trans.  the hemi 5-speed auto.  seems there is a dinkey 4 point something or other with a 4 speed auto.
What is this flex fuel feces?
What the hell is the Big Horn/SLT/ and a couple of other models I see, for '07?
I REFUSE to go into any dealer and get tag teamed with those high speed, care less, double talk sales people for information!
I think I would rather get penicillin shots for a dose of clap first!

Tater!  sorry,,,,,,, I forgot.
I asked the seller, but, I'll ask you too.  You will need to take your tape measure with you.
I NEED the measurements, from the back of the cab to the center of the rear wheels,  (back of the cab to the top of the rear tire)  and from the back of the cab to the tip of the rear frame.  (the distance from the back of the cab to the end of the frame)

THANKS!!

Stanley.  How did you know the reserve price?  I never divuldged it,,,,, yet.
As I mentiopned, for what his reserve is, I can buy a little older, 20K less miles, more gears, 10K more GVW, with a HD dump bed, with a 3 way tailgate.  I don't want the hassle of the CDL though.
Yes I know the CDL thing. I have been looking for a single axle, dump, 25K GVW, (26 K GVW requirers a CDL) manual trans, for quite sometime now.

Either, I find good bargans, they are a million miles away, or, beat to pieces with a milliom miles, with automatics, or, I find GOOD bargans, that require CDL.

The dump bed, and lift gate, I can't use.  I have a dump bed I have built, to use.

Thanks for your comments!

'Tater,' still no reply from the seller,,,,,,,.
He listed his addy in the description.  I SURE appreciate you doing this for me!
Gimme your addy ,and I'll send you a small jar of WV Moonshine, for your troubles.

 1995 Topkick Dump **UNDER CLD!!***

 Current price:

$3,950.00

 End time:
 Nov-20-08 16:24:26 PST

Add to watch list | See similar items

I was bidding on this truck.  I didn't meet the reserve auction.
I asked the seller what his reserve was,,,,,, he gave me a price.  I counter offered.
His reserve price is too high.  I told himI can get more truck for the same $$.  However the 'more truck' requires a CDL.
I haven't heard back from them on my counter offer yet.

Just would like to konw the 'history' and how much rust has the 'new paint all around' has covered up?  The mechanicals, condition, etc.
Is the outfit selling this truck a bunch of assholes, etc

Thanks!

PotatoE  That's how VP Quail spelled it, isn't it?

Curious, how many of you on this site are vets?

Yeah, I was "across the pond" so to speak.
'66-'71  AF
'67'-71 being, all overseas.  Never saw any 'action' in 'Nam, but, was still labled a 'baby killer' by the single girls, or 'round' eyes, back home..

There is that sorta 'special' comorodery to the 'forgotten' vets, that are part of the 'wall,' or visit the 'wall,' or are apart of the half dozen or so Viet-Nam Vets MC's

Well, looks like he has convince most on FL, that you and I, share the same hot tub together! Whoo-Haw!

Pleasdon't get upset at me Hobby.  But, in all seriousness (if there is such a word) you have about as much sex appeal, as abag of leaves!

Don't beleive Hobby about the 'firewater'?
Well you guys just check this feces out then!
www.mountainmoonshine.com

Yep I live across town from the United State's ONLY, LEGAL, Moonshine Distillary!
The guy's name is Payton Fireman (yes, his parents named him that)  He's one of those old 1960's Hippy Lawyers.
He found a loophole in the ATF's brewing laws.
He can make all he wants to,,,, but, he can, ONLY, wholesale, to a state licensed retail liquer outlet, in TWO states.  WV and KY.

Anybody want any, I can send you some.  The pint sized bottle will cost you right around $20+  Something like $12 or $14 for the bottle ,and the rest to mail it out.
(those of you who really want some genuine, white lightnin' eamil me alumcanTandthd@aol.com how many bottles/what size, and I will get the total price.  Send me a Postal (only) Money Order)

I traded a case of the fifth sized bottles to a junkyard out in Calif for a '58 Ply parts car.
Took about 6 months to get all 12 bottles mailed out there.
I sent two cases of the big bottles to Alabama to a couple of Maraines getting ready to ship out to Desert Storm.
It is illegal to mail ANY kind of booze through the PO!  So I have to wrap each bottle so it can survive a 3' fall, and the PO people don't hear any 'sloshing'

WARNING!!!!  Good CORRECTLY brewed moonshine is clear, has NOTHING floating in it, and emits a pretty blue flame with NO SMOKE!  (BEWARE of any home brew that is cooled in a car readiator!  That feces is POISION and is called, wood alcohol, and will cause your sexual organs to fall off)
It tastes like that candy corn you get on Halloween for trick-er-treatin', untill it hits bottom.
Then, a train whistle goes off, your eyes bug out, and smoke/steam blowes out of every hole in your head.
Then, everyone wants to get 'nekkid' and try to do a close redition of a Cherokee/Apachie rain dance.
