Hi Dave  I got it.  Just been sleeping.  I seem ot be doing alot of that lately

This forum protocol is the same  one Microsoft uses.  They're pretty good!  The updates are current up to around January.  I can arrange for you to get into the server and collect everything directly.  Right now, the server is hidden in a huge Co-Lo so the hosting is free.  But all good things come to an end sometime

It is a sad day but I do understand. I check multiple times a day to see if anyone has anything to say but it seems everyone is done with it. As something to save some of your great information, you may want to get ahold of Dave Zatz(Dave Z) ( I think that's his full name) over at allpar, he way want to archive some of your great information, just as a thought. Hoping some of the guys would want to go over there, lots of decent guys and gals over there, they try not to be political so it is a pretty adult site with lots of information.

I'm looking around the end of July.  Our server is getting tired and I can't afford to build a new one

I suspect the shifter is out of adjustment.  Take it back to him.  Before that though, I think we have instructions in the help section on how to adjust it.

The cable could be going bad, or he didn't adjust it right.  The best way to adjust is with the pan off.  Did this just start?  Or is it since the trans was rebuilt.
The adjustment is on the trans

The 65 had a column shift.  It was the first year after push buttons.  The trans was the first year with a drive shaft slip yoke.  From 1963 to 1965 the trans required 2 cables.  One went to the shift mech in the valve body and the other went to the parking pawl.

Please describe the slippage you are talking about.  When was the trans last serviced and when were the bands last adjusted?
