Wasn't the Coreeentian leather in the Cor -a -doba?  Those later Fifths aren't bad,  are just toooo small!
Least they had the 318.

Put in some ethyl alcohol, ethanol, it will absorb the water - that's
basically what Dry Gas is, alcohol, you can get Dry gas at any parts
store...Me and Uncle just last week started a '39 Olds Straight 8 after
a 6 yr slumber, slosh of gas in the carb, shot of ether, started after
4 revolutions on the old gas and ran fine... brakes  went to the
floor though, that's this week's project... gas only a year or so old
should burn fine,...

Great cars - last of the real full size Mopars imo... the mid '80s 5th
Aves were just pimped out Volares...I had a '79 Newport and '81 NYer,
both were pretty much bulletproof - they were just B bodies with 2 more
" of wheelbase iirc... WELCOME!!!!

I found a heat gun on HI softens it up quick and then you can scrape it clean in one pass with the putty knife, in the areas that are pretty flat, at least for the tar/sound-deadener inside the trunk...Not the funnest work in the world that's for sure.  I'm afraid of any tar covering up rust I don't see coming back to haunt me...

Are you scraping cold with a putty knife or using a heat gun to soften
the tar?  On mine I'm debating removing it all or just the loose
stuff... the perfectionist keeps saying "take it all off!"!

I'm pretty sure unit body conv top frames won't interchange with full frame cars - 1959 and older....

Believe it or not, it was full of light bulbs! That's all that crap you see in that hiney shot, right off the craigslist ad listing...the guy was using it as a storage bin!!! you can see the dis-assembled golf cart in the front shot. -all this in a fancy naybahood in Allentown NJ ... well, it's sure got a good home now! 46 K original maals!

As to Mac's - I got my first Apple II+ in 1980 and only had Macs ever since - after working as a programmer for a big Baltimore bank in the late 70s, I knew what was the best, and still is! The '58 Imperial of computers!

OK,  I'm a computer retard - I can't even figger out how to get to the tree thingy!!  - it's not at the top of my "Post Reply" box... I have a Mac btw, if that matters... I like how at some sites there's a box you can check whenever you post that says "add attachment or pic to post" or some such, right on the posting page.

In an desperate attempt to increase the feeble presence of actual FIN
cars here - and get a car related to my ID name - or close - I've
scored a 1958 DeSoto (that IS a Mopar - for you wet behind the ears
young'uns!) FireSweep Sportsman 4 dr to add a bit of Forward Look class
to the site... full frame car, Dodge derived front end sheet metal only
found on the 'Sweep. She needs work, she sat outside for too long, not
been run in years, but a she's good solid car to start with, and now in
a nice safe dry garage... so... let the fun begin!

So - why is there no browse feature on this page so I can post some pics?? Help??!!!!!!!
