Maybe the weeds are growing in dirt built up on the floor pan?

Yeah, you could stay a night or two at my place.  Bring a fist full of cash and pull every part that you would be interested in....  :D

You are going to be really ticked about this one then.  The front bumper is really nice.  You should make a trip down and get some parts for yours.

I have to figure out how to post pictures on here first...    But I will figure it out eventually, maybe.

Snotty, no offense, but if someone would pony up some coin, I wouldn't be thinking of parting out the car.  It is a driver that I would sell for $1200 if someone would decide to buy it.  That, and I have a 60 Plymouth that has no driveline.  I just had a nice 2 door body delivered today, so the 4 door 60 that needed quarters, floors, rockers and roof work won't be built.  Ironically, that is bass ackwards of how I usually do things.  I would rather build a 4 door any day!

Tech- - Engine / Vacuum
« on: April 08, 2011, 03:16:02 AM »
The lack of vacuum could affect fuel flow into the chambers, as well as increase the amount of air that enters with the fuel....  Requiring the timing to be off in order for the car to run smoothly.  Fix the leak, and now the timing could be off....

He may not have had to.  It may have been running pretty crazy with what he had going on....

You might look at your timing.  If it is late, (I think that direction), the vacuum will be low.  Could explain why it is running better, but carrying less vacuum.

General Tech / Engine/Trans Swap Question

The 318 poly mounts should work just fine.  Just make sure you have the 318 mounts from the 66, and they should bolt directly to the LA.

New to this site... definitely not new to cars...

Currently have:
71 Fury Custom Suburban
1960 Belvedere 4 door
1965 Chrysler Newport 4 door hardtop (selling, or maybe using as a driveline)
Should have another 1960 Plymouth in my possession tomorrow.

:D  I need more cars...
