General BS and Laughs / I thought everything in Texas was big
« on: January 14, 2011, 05:55:39 PM »
Apparently not RV's though. I should have checked it out before I left. Got a warm welcome to Texas yesterday by a fine young man in uniform. About 4 hours into Texas a State trooper pulled me over and questioned the length of my unit and informed me that the max length here is 65 feet. He was a nice enough fellow though, as he said with ticket book in hand "well if you are only one foot over, I'll let it slide, otherwise I have to buy a permit". I suppose I better check the rest of the states on my route.

General BS and Laughs / Doing my part.....
« on: September 11, 2010, 05:23:01 PM »
to keep Fiat - er - Chrysler going.  Picked up my new daily driver today. Yeah I know it's white, but my priorities were 3.92, large tank, tow mirrors, brake controller, and hitch. The sunroof was a bonus. Had the dealer remove the TRX decals on the rear quarters - I prefer the uncluttered look.

General Tech / Windshield question again
« on: July 22, 2010, 05:46:31 PM »
I appear to have lost the windshield number for  a 1965 300 convertible, and don't remember if it is the same as a 2dr  or 4dr HT.   The glass shop only lists those two.  Any words of wisdom?? I am trying to find a spare.

Dash is now painted to match the new exterior colour (1970 Dodge Q3 turquoise). It should look good when the rest of the interior is done. Also getting a Grant wood wheel - like Krautmaster's.

I am trying to remove the vent pulls from the lower column cover, and can't figure out how they come off, so I can continue painting the dash.

What is the best and shiniest silver paint I can use to refinish the reflector bowl in my tail-lights? They are quite dull.

Tech- - FUEL / What are they?
« on: June 20, 2010, 03:30:53 PM »
What are these two carbs, and which is the better one to use on a relatively stock 413?

This one is currently on the 65 413 I am going to put into my 300.

This one is on the 67 440 that is currently jury-rigged into the 300.

General BS and Laughs / I'm starting to think like Stan
« on: June 06, 2010, 05:21:14 PM »
Now that I have the NY at home, the silly idea that I have  the trim I need to make a one-of-none NY vert - badges, dash, grille - surfaced in my mind. When does the sickness end???
