glad to see theres someone with half a brain out there. the hydrogen generator, or electrolisys unit, is a great idea. i started building one in my spart time. its finished now and running in my 91 ram. gets around 49 mpg with it. and yes, it sucks up a lot of water. i put a 2nd gas tank in it and used it for the reserve water tank. its ideal because its got the electric pump and i can hook a regulsr gas guage to it. its working well. i didnt go the baking soda rout though. i use regular tap water because it has all of the minerals in it that act as electrolytes. no need for baking soda. thats why yours is gumming up. use some CLR to clean it out every 500 miles or so.

ok... its a 91 and i;m putting the big block in it. i was asking because i need all of the components for smog in 91. hoping that they wont open the damn hood. it may pass without it.

this question is primarily for Mr Firedome............i have a background in molecular chemistry as well as physics. my initial plan was to build a hydrogen hybrid. its already in the works. would 2 fuels, used at the same time, classify my vehicle ( in california) as a hybrid?

i did it about 2 months ago. it helped a bit because it started doing this a lot when i bought it. changed the filter and it was better, not great, but better. maybe i need to flush it out.

ok... 91 dodge ram, 360ci and the overdrive trans. every so often, only after driving for a few hours, the tranny womt shift out of first unless i put it in neutral and rev the crap out of it. then its fine for a few more hours. it does it also after driving for a while if i shift from reverse to drive. also, it will shift on its own from drive to 2nd and i have to rev it again. whats up with it??

ex... 1st tranny in 1st gear and the 2nd tranny in 4th is a crawler gear. no different than 1st gear alone.. BUT.... 4th gear on the first tranny and 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear on the second tranny would be a tremendous overdrive option.

the overdrive capability AND the low end is what i'm after. if the 2nd tranny is backwards, i would have 6 overdrive gears. and under drive would be intense.
