Tech- -BODY / Windshield Paranoia
« on: May 25, 2008, 04:55:51 PM »
Am I nuts?  I lose sleep over the craziest things.  The 74-78 C-body windshields are no longer manufactured.  I toyed with the idea of buying one now so I would have one on hand probably at a time when it would be impossible to get a new one.
What do you think?  Should I get one now or should I use the money to see a shrink?   What would you do?

I'm feeling the need for speed in my smogified 205hp/440 so I started looking and I was just about to buy this:

But something kept telling me ssomething was amiss. So I looked some more.
Then I found this:

Whew!!  I almost settled for only 62hp. when I can actually get 100.
Those crooks.  Glad I did my research.

I just read this elsewhere:
...Four speeds were available in C-bodies from 1965 to 1969 (possibly 1964, though not confirmed)...

It's fantasy time boys and girls.
You were polishing a hood ornament when  the Chrysler Genie appeared.
You are granted one wish:
You will be allowed to travel in a time machine and order the ONE car you've always fantasized about, and be able to take it back to the present with you.
For me, it would be a '67 Newport slantback, low-line no option car with a four speed in Regal Blue.
What's yours?

Well, went to the plater yesterday to give him the centers to my Road Wheels.
They were pretty well shot and they were going to cost $600.  Sorry.  Not me!!
So what do you you when you're poor?  Sandblast, then paint'em (to match), of course.
