I got the dash out of the parts car today so tommorrow's project will be installing the dash harness in the wagon. I hope it will be done in a day but I don't know how long I'll be able to lay under the dash.

Is it a sign that I've been under the dash too much if I can identify where most of that wiring goes?
Yes it's a sign. If you can identify the stuff that didn't belong under there than that's a BAD sign.

Aren't you supposed to be resting, not crawling around under a dash???
Uh yea, I was resting while laying on my back and crawling around under a dash. LOL At least wires aren't heavy.

All that was under the dash. If you're asking about the square boxey looking thing it's an ancient hydralic trailer brake controler.

A little over a year ago I posted a thread on the other site about all the modifications the old man I bought the 65 Ny'er wagon from did. He spent 40 years (he bought it new in 65) hacking into the wiring harnesses adding lights, gauges, speakers, trailer wiring, block heater and some stuff I couldn't identify. Well here's a picture of what came out of just under the dash. The other picture is more like what should be under there. Big difference. The good harness same out of a 66 NY'er I parted last year. I don't think I'll use it though, I'm gonna pull the harness out of the 65 NY'er parts car I have because it also has cruise so I won't have to modify the harness. I'm just not looking forward to spending 2 hours under the dash again like this morning.   azblackhemi2008-03-27 15:50:28

Not to worry Steve, I'm one of the lucky few left with a Union Job so I'm getting full pay while I'm off plus AFLAC.
