I never heard of this trick until now. Now I want to find something to try it on! My wife sure liked the idea of me using environmently safe cleaners that I can dispose of safely.

Tech- - Engine / Performance/economy upgrades for Mopar Small Block

Good posts Dana44! I agree with what you are saying. I am going to try this method of a slightly rough polish in the combustion chamber on something one of these days. I was taught to leave some things alone and to polish other areas when porting heads. We usually polished the combustion chamber to mirror shine. In my efforts for speed I have even tried ceramic coatings on the combustion chamber and piston tops for some of my builds. It seemed to work great. I am not sure how much of a return it would give a guy for street use, but like most tricks they all add up to help build performance.

Hi Guys! Thanks for the invite and setting up my account!

I am down to two Mopars right now but at one point I had quite a few A and B body cars ranging from 1970 up to 1977. My favorites were 340 4 speed Darts and Valiants. I had a few Dusters that were a lot of fun also.

Most people know lots about hotroding the V8s already but how many of you guys built up a slant six? Let me know if any of you are interested and I will pass on some of the things I have done to them to make them perform better.
