Yeah, they can definitely get expensive.  I don't even want to add up the receipts on the 300.  It's worth it though.  In all the years I've gone to car shows and cruises, I've never seen a '65 300 'vert.  At the end, I'll have a cool car that I built from the ground up.

Sound cool.  How far are you going to go with it?  I'm not sure if you've ever taken one of these apart.  If not, let me know if you have any questions about anything as I have removed and replaced virtually everything on my car.  If you need your quarter emblems restored I can do them for you.  I had the plastic inserts made buy a local plastics fabricator.  Here's a shot of an emblem I restored:

I'm sorry. . I didn't answer that properly

Sweet.  Mine's a 'vert, Spanish Red, Red Int., White Top.  I'm on the tail end of a 2 1/2 year resto.  I took it all the way down to a rolling shell and have gone through everything.  It's a factory air car, power windows and vents, power seats, reclining passenger's seat.  It's a pretty cool car.  It sat in Nevada since '80 with the top down and it was pretty well sun baked.  The sun was bad on the cosmetics but great on the metal.  The car had/has zero rust.

The seat backs on a '65 300 are actualy vinyl skinned from the factory.  Mine were sunbaked and peeling in spots.  I had them reskinned by Just Dashes and dyed to match my seat upholstery.
