I'm trying to figure out a color scheme for it. I saw a real nice pearl'd yellow in a magazine, and I think that, with the cadillac pearl white would look ok. I've also been toying with a dark blue and silver, or red and pearl white...not too sure yet. We'll see what happens.

furyfever- We we're all surprised when my parents found this car in this good of shape. It's been a California car the whole time, so it hasn't seen too much rain. The previous ownder kept it in a shed while he tinkered with it until he sold it. The car is in for a shock when it gets to WA, but it will be garaged and very well taken care of. I plan on keeping this car for as long as possible :)

Somehow I get in the groups with all the old farts, and for some reason, I feel like I belong! :) This car is almost twice as old as I am. Here are a couple of pictures of it. Lemme know what you think.

The second one I just threw one of the hubcaps on just to see what they looked like on the car. From what I know of the car, the previous owner did a front disk conversion, and the rest is stock (from what I can tell) There are a bunch of parts in the trunk, a couple of horns and the A/C for it are back there, and I don't know if the heater works because there are no hoses hooked up to it. My dad has the shop manual for it, so hopefully this winter, I'll be able to tear it down, get it painted, rebuild the engine, and put in a new wiring harness and it should be GTG with a little TLC! Thanks again for the warm welcome!

Thanks for the welcomes!!!

Polaraco, I'm pretty sure it's not the same one. My parents picked this one up about 4 years ago in LA and up until last year, it had just been sitting. I got it running when I was down there last summer. It's yellow and white on black steelies :)

Good evening. I stumbled across this forum through, and figured that since I'll be picking up a '59 Saratoga next weekend, I should sign up so that I can ask questions from people who know WAY more about working on these cars than I do :)

Little about myself, I live in Washington state, am married (to a very patient, very giving woman, come on, she's letting me go to SO-Cal to get a project car) and have the most awesome 3 year old. Been in the Military for 8 years now, and can't wait to start showing something a little more respectable than a riced out 04 Cavalier that I used to have. You'll probably be seeing a little more of me when I get the car up here and can't figure something out. Thanks!!!!
