No Problemo Bob.

And thx for the welcomes.
I know its not a name you see often over there, and its actually funny to hear when US people say my name.

I was in Las Vegas 2007 on Nellies AFB, and that was just funny when they had to call up the names, poor guy.

Was supposed to go to Goose bay AFB Canada this year but that got cancelled, well ill have to see what happens 2010.

Tech- - FUEL / Starting a warm 318...
« on: April 29, 2009, 05:17:08 AM »
Well my engine does not get too hot, but i dont know how hot, but i would say normal temp. it doesnt boil under long slow cruising.
And i have no leaks on the water side, but my carb needs new gaskets i think, i just have to find them.

Actually i was wondering as you said you had a leak in the radiator, you should loose water when on temp.

Mine does the same 70'Satellite 318.

But i have this thought, that my gas vaporize from the carb. because it smells of gas over the carb. when turned off.
I might not be right, but i will follow this post to see what comes up.

Well not that i want to sound like an engineer/wiseguy but i have never heard of people who had their engine taken apart because of a head gasket/water in the oil.
Of course only if people dont drive with it for a long time.

Over here we just change the gaskets and putt it together again, and then it will cost you some oil and filters, let it run for half an hour, checking the temp all the time, new oil and filter, then deppending on who you ask change oil and filter after 100 km.

Tech- - Engine / Hyd. lifter issues...
« on: April 21, 2009, 10:38:52 AM »
I read some thing about, putting a feeler gauge in betwen on the valve things while engine is running then, when the noise stops you have the problem.

Unfortunatly my book is not at home, so i cant specify right now, but its in a small block rebuild book.

I actually had hyd. lifter rattle as my car was in winter storage, i start her up once a month and let it run for some minutes, and 3 time as i started her up the noise was there, so i was head over heels out bying spare parts lifters, camshaft, chain and gears for the chain, seals, spark plugs, and oil/filter.

And as i was driving home after 4 km the noise stopped, so it was just a little something in a hyd. lifter, so i just changed the oil and filter.
Approx. 650 $ well not wasted but close, i might get use for it.

Well  sorry for 'ing your post.

Why do their cars always look better than ours?

Well i bought it over by you, so i guess no body wanted it over there.

And its green, but i dont know if it will stay that way, its not like its a rare model or valueble

Maybe the ac - no power brakes make it speciel  but ill say the brakes are fine, and it can stop hard, but still disc is better, there is not so much adjusting with disc brakes.

Well i have uploaded some pictures in my profile but i guess people cant see them.

Actually this one is the only one i have been able to find for sale, and i know there is only 1 other here in Denmark, and that is also making it special for me at least.

Me and My Satellite.

and then one of the inside.

And then the Engine 318cui runs like a dream.

I hope thats good, and i have been reading that Moparfins need stock pics of all kinds of years, so feel free to use them or post and i will upload some others, if you want some special scenes, angles or what ever.
