General BS and Laughs / I'm going GREEN! Hot Damn! 11-26 to 5-2-12

They are planting wind farms all over South Dakota because it is always windy here i actually have a prime location for some wind power on top of our hill here but is so expensive. We have also been told by a few local people that have done it in town it doesnt look like its going to pay off for a long time and maybe never with all of the upkeep. They said wait like any market it may be better to wait a while until enough people get in the market that the prices go down.

Turns out my junkyard pacer front end had some damage on it, we didn't notice on first inspection. One bent upper control arm and one lower control arm from earlier pacer. lucky me we had an AMC guy come in that just happened to have a spare pacer sub frame in his back yard and needed a 62 chevy hood and a few emblems off our javelin so i now have plenty of spare parts. This pacer thing will work out great gives me power rack and pinion steering and disk brakes on the frontand  it will only be about 3/4 of an inch wider than original.

Partially due to seeing other people getting stuff done on their cars here i have decided there should be no reason in the world i couldn't do mine.  I have finaly started work on my project again. I have started with a 1941 Plymouth business coupe. I am puting an AMC pacer front suspension under it for disk brakes with a mopar bolt patern and power steering. For an engine i am going to put a steel crank 67 440 in with an automatic. The rear end will come out of a 1968 Coronet wagon and i have some posi units for an 8 3/4. The out side will be basicaly stock. I will post pictures tonight.

my daily driver is an 89 Dakota with a 3.9 auto super basic truck no power windows or cruise but it does have A/C. I have had a lot of minor problems with it nothing to bad for having over 190,000 on it. they just dont seem to die with some care. the worst problems i have had were electrical problems worn wires under the box caused my fuel pump to die and shorted a few fuses.
