Site Questions and Announcements / Tomorrow is a year since
« on: August 29, 2009, 06:17:29 PM »
my father has passed-have been thinking alot about him-wishing he was here to see the 2 boys growing so fast-to give me a hand or 2 with things I do around the house. I know that he is in a better place-no pain-no worries-just sunny days, green meadows, peace and happiness. Miss you dad, for all the things you have done for me, the little things you said, and all the lessons on fixing cars, wiring houses, treating people with respect, and all the other things I forget right now, I love you, miss you, wish you were here, but, Will see you when it is my turn to cross over to the other side, untill then, keep your watch over all of us and help keep us safe.

Yesterday afternoon my oldest came home crying hystericall saying that 2 black teesn had stolen his bike from him. Now mind you he just got it for Christmas and was very happy to have a Yellow Hummer H2O 7 speed bike. Since it has gotten warmer and he has this nice bike I told him that he could now ride the side streets of the neighborhood(giving him a sense of freedom from the back alley). Well yesterday his freedom was stolen from him. I ggrabbed my .357 Mag and took him around the neighborhood in the direction he said the kids went, while my wife called the police. after riding around for 20 min the 911 operator called my(wife gave them my cell phone number) and talked to me about not doing anything if I saw them and then I put my son (Travis) on the phone and gave a very good description of the kids who took his bike. I then dropped him off at the house and went riding around for another 25 min before going back to the house. Mind you every person I saw I described the 2 kids that took the bike and gave a description of the bike(it is the only one like it in the neighborhood).
I was still steamed when I went back out needing to refuel the jeep, after the refueling I went back to looking one more time, nowing that those 2 JAGOFFS lived near my house, as I went up one section of Pearl road and low and behold guess who I saw still wearing the same clothes and hat. The one that took the bike told the other one to run and they took off like scared rabbits. I turn the Jeep around and took chase, catching them at the bottom of the next street over. AS I got out of the Jeep the one that ran from my son said to me I know nothing about a stolen bike-imagine that answering a question that was not asked.
I call 911 telling them I caught the 2 teens that stole the bike and with the help of a lady who was a neighbor of the one kid got them to stop behind the house where they hid the bike in a garage.
Now these 2 rocket scientists thinking I would let them go when they gave the bike back got a rude awakening, I told them it was not okay to go(I had told them to stop, that I was placing them under citizens arrest) At this point the owner of the house came out wandering what the commotion was and was surprised tha tone of the kids stored the bike in her garage and was trying to blame her son for stealing the bike. The lady that helped me went to get the one boys mom and my wife showed up with our boys and Travis looked and told me the one with the camo hat took the bike and the other kid was with him BUSTED BOY!!! Now the kid that ran(the one that did not have the camo hat) his mom showed up being a little defension about her son saying that he would not do that until she heard what my son said and then the fireworks started, man was he getting smacked and she dargged him up to the house(that was accross the street) the other one(with some forcing to stay) was there when the cop showed up. Now this ASSHOLE would not co-operate with the nice officer so he was cuffed and placed in the cruiser(non-Mopar, GM Impala). The cop the went accross the street to the other kids house, told the mom that the papers with the charges will arrive by mail(he even said that the kid was going to get his ASS beat bad-he even said he did not care how bad she did it either) and the fisrt kid with the hat was going to Shuman for Easter.
My son was thanked by the officer for the great description and ID- the wife and I both praised his help and let him ride his bike back home. All in all it ended up being a great day
with the great help from my son Travis. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to share some news.

Today 3 Pittsburgh police officers were shot and killed in thte Stanton Heights section of Pittsburgh. The first 2 were responding to a domestic call and the third who just finished his 11 to 7 shift and lived in the area rolled to the scene to help his fellow officers. The first 2 on the scene were each shot in the head as they entered the door of the home with an AK-47, not sure how or where the third officers was shot. After 4 to 5 hours and many shots fired the wounded suspect AKA: Jagoff, surrendered and was take to the hospital. This all happened a couple of streets over from where my sister, brother-in-law(he is a Pittsburgh cop, not involved in the shooting) and niece live. Please pray for the families and the police department, 2 of these men in blue had children who are now fatherless, 1 had 2 children and the other had 3.
Please remember the fallen and pray for the families.
    God Bless

General BS and Laughs / Out of a job.....
« on: February 28, 2009, 02:45:47 PM »
Well as some of you know that as of yesterday(2/27/09) I was put on indefinate lay off
from work. This was due to the USEC(United States Energy Commission) cutting the funding for the Centerfuge plant being built in Ohio. This lay off affects about 40 people and if the funding opens up I will be called back to work, if the funding does not happen then well you know ht rest of that story. I'm not worried about being let go, I can collect up to 46 weeks of unemployment and if my state qualifies as having high unemployment rate I can collect up to an additional 12 weeks, so if I do get laid off for an indeffinate period of time I might go back to school(what do I want to be when I grow up)
The plus is being that I do work for a temp agency my manager is looking for another place for me to work, plus I am looking on line and applied for a UPMC warehouse job today(this job was only posted 9 hours before I applied) so I have both time and God on my side. So I will look on the brightside as I have all along and not worry about what will be, the bills are paid for and not to mention that I can sit back and collect for a while and watch my youngest grow up(Daddy Daycare is now open).
   God Bless to all

General BS and Laughs / Is it 2009 yet?
« on: December 30, 2008, 06:27:15 PM »
All I ask is it 2009 yet? This year tops the list of all time CRAPPY YEARS. First and foremost was the passing of my Father
2) the passing of my grandma
3)no money to do anything
4)borrowed money from mom to buy Christmas gifts for the boys
5)12 overdrafts on the checking account(wife is lucky to be alive-4 overdrafts in December
alone costing $156 bucks-at 39 bucks a pop)
6) mom talked me into taking my grandmas old TV(mine while working was not that great)this TV has a loud Hum-Buzz to it-that fuzzy picture on the old one was not that bad to get this thing(wife gave old TV to her sister-so can not get that back)
7) still need to replace the ceiling in the attic(had to rip out because of mold from the old leaky roof)
8)just by being kicked in the balls everytime I turned around then smacked in the face with a 2X4 for good measure.
The few good spots are I am still alive-still married(for now), the kids are happy
the new roof is still over my head and I still have some of my sanity left(hurry it is going fast)
thank you for my end of year rant
IS IT 2009 YET????

Site Questions and Announcements / I'm back-did you guys miss me
« on: November 25, 2008, 05:44:19 PM »
hey guys still having pooter problems, tried several times to log on and no go until tonight. It has been a very busy past couple of months since my father past away-man I miss him-this will be the first big holiday without him. I have been working like a dog, working as much OT as poss to get by. The old homestead needed a new roof in October, now no more leaks in the attic-still have to replace the attic ceiling and walls and reinsulate. Repaired the porch ceiling because of the roof, added R-30 insulation(there was none), now the master bedroom is much warmer. The pooter still will not me in the chat room, but, atleast I can be here and post now. Last friday a DAMN JUNKIE BROKE INTO THE WIFES JEEP. That BASTERD, broke out the window and did not get anything(the smart wife leaves nothing worth a DAMN inthe Jeep), I would like to take the $100 for the ded out of his ASS, ny Insurance company was great, even used the glass company I wanted no questions asked. I have Rockingham if you all want to know. My mom has been okay since dad pasted, had some health problems-but she is much better now, needed to get cateracts removed from both eyes, was in the hospital for an infection a couple of months ago.
I would like to thank MoparMatt for posting about the passing of my father, Matts a great guy-need to call him.  Thanks everyone for the kind words and prayers for my father and my family, in this nutty world it is great to know a great bunch of good eggs like all of you to help one get by, a big hats off to you all.
       Thanks
