General Tech- - BRAKES / Budd discs and 73 discs
« on: December 03, 2008, 02:05:28 PM »
Just a thought.... If you have Budd disc brakes now could you just change the spindles and rotors to 73's and use the same master and proportioning valve?  well along with the 73 caliper brackets and calipers.  The hoses should be the same right ? The front drum hoses are the same as 73 discs.

This is my friend Brad's 62 Polora 500

The three amigos

This 56 Imp looked like they brought it to the show in a time machine!!!
But really it came in a trailer.  Plus its Poloraco GREEN!!!

the guy in black is Durke and the little guy in white is Brad.

This car won the C body trophy, the owner was an old man I think he bought the car new!!!
The "little" guy in this pic is my son Chad.

This car is one wild ride!!!!!!
The cars in the inside pics are in the dealerships mueseum. they have about 36-38 cars and are looking for more,a lot of those cars were sold or ordered by the dealer and kept or traded back in and then kept.
A good time was had by all.

General BS and Laughs / Oh the Humanity!!!!
« on: September 08, 2008, 02:12:39 PM »
When can I catch a break!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I was on my way to work today after I picked up a guy I work with because he is having car trouble. I was on the highway in a constuction zone concrete barrier on one side guard rail on the other when some A** HOLE bullys his way on instead of yielding like the sign said and a chain reaction ensued.
To make a long story short I had to bounce my truck off the back of a Chrysler mini van!!!!!
I'm lookin at a new hood, grill, bumper, passenger side fender, pass side head and turn signal lights and the plastic air dams that hang off the front bumper not to mention my driving lights.
Thank God nobody got hurt!!!
Oh well at least I have insurance (not AIG either)

General BS and Laughs / My favorite show
« on: July 27, 2008, 03:12:07 PM »
Here are a few pics from my favorite event of the summer here in MI
Its Mopars at the Red Barns at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners MI
Even though Ruby was not there this time and they were out of "man sized" T-shirts when we got there it still was a good time.

Tech- - ELECTRICAL / "Auto" windows
« on: June 26, 2008, 04:58:52 PM »
Hey guys can any of yous tell me, I want an "auto" power window on my truck like my wife's Sebring has,you know how the new cars the power window goes down by itself if you push the switch all the way over or you can put it down say halfway if you don't push the switch as far.
So my question is can I go to the junkyard and get a window switch that says "auto" on it and my window will work like that or is there more electronics to it that I'm not figuring on.
I'm guessing that there is more to it because everybody would probably be switching out their switches!!!
Anybody know???

General Mopar Discussions / 57,58,59 Desotos
« on: March 20, 2008, 06:42:26 PM »
I'm out today talking to my neighbor(damned kid) He has a 2000 300M and a mini van (Dodge). We get to talking about Mopars and he starts telling me about his Grandpa's Desoto that is his now since Grandpa passed away. He tells me about the clock in the center of the steering wheel(that I kinda knew about) and the push button tranny(which I DO know about) then he starts teling me about the suicide doors on the back.
That brings me to my question, Did 57,58,59 (he couldn't remember the year for sure but he knew it wasn't a 60) Desotos have suicide doors on the back???? I didn't think so (none I've ever seen) but the kid seemed so sure he had me second guessing myself even after I said "Are you sure?  He talked like gramps owned the car for ever and it is in "pristine" condition but I think he's wrong about the doors. So who's right him or me???
