Tech- - DRIVE TRAIN / Rear axle noise....
« on: July 09, 2008, 03:33:56 AM »
i tried that up in the air deal once------like steve said-you hear all sorts of noises------with no preasure on parts it's real easy for sound to be telegraphed from part to part-------i had a wagon once that was making all kinds of sounds from the rear wheels-i had it checked by three diff.  places up and down---------------------------------it ended up being a belt on the right rear tire being broke------there was no shake-just all sorts of noise------that tire was balanced and still wasn't caught-----it was so minimal you had to look and feel real close------the point i'm trying to make is that it could be about any part------go with your first thought-maybe you'll be lucky-----------------------------later

welllllllll---i like em and do have a set for my dart---not on yet because i want to get a set of springs first-they're a little saggy---the main things to remember are make sure you can get at the filler tube and to locate it in an area that accessable easily---as far as where-performance houses---and depending on the application KANTER---------

General Tech- - BRAKES / Brake proportioning valve problems....
« on: April 24, 2008, 02:55:52 PM »
i have a 60 dart with a front disc brake conversion------installed right off the master i have a wilwood dial in proportioning valve------the reason being is that it still has drums on the rear------------heres how it goes------if you have discs front and drums rear , you need a valve for that application or discs front and rear the same------the  reason being-discs take less hydrolic preasure to operate------so if you have discs front front and drums rear , that's the reason the fittings are different-----------the valves don't have the same application due to pressure differences------------------------------------later
