I have a leak coming from the front of the tranny and need to drop it to put a new seal in. No problem. ? The real problem is trying to get the correct seal! I know mine is a 3 speed auto, but which one? I've not seen a ID # as of yet. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Tech- - ELECTRICAL / fuel gauge problems
« on: March 23, 2012, 08:02:28 AM »
My 1960 dodge pioneer has a non working gas gauge....go figure  I have read the atricles here on fixing them and after looking for a bout 2 hours in have reconnected the interior light switch back and got the oil pressure light working again, but no gas gauge. I have an original shop manual, well 2 to be exact... Neither show a voltage limiter, nor have I been able to find one, but that said. My back that has been screwed up for 2 weeks now , do'es feel much better doing the under dash crawl.  I always try to look at the positive!!!! There are some wires with clips that are not connected, that I am still tracing. And since my car sits too low for my fat ass to crawl under I havent gotten the chance to look at the tank. I guess my question is where the hell is the voltage limiter located, and why is it not in the shop manual?

MEMBERS Project Cars in Progress / New Home/Old Dart
« on: March 18, 2012, 01:10:17 PM »
Here are some pics of the 1960 Dodge Dart Pioneer.  Still needs work.  Upholstery needs to be redone, new carpet, soft rubber, gauges, and a few other things.  I want to put a new paint job on it - same colors.  There is some light surface rust, but nothing bad.  All the panels look nice and straight.  Trunk & floor panels are nice and tight.  Glass is good.  Any suggestions on upholstery would be great.

Thanks again for welcoming me aboard.

I just joined what was a hard place to find! A  forum for old finnned Mopars. I just got hold of a 1960 Dodge Dart Pioneer. @ door 3 speed auto, with a 318. It's in good shape but still needs some work to get it up to snuff. Soft rubber, interior, gauges ect ect..... But still a good car, with nice lines, as all Mopars have  It came with the orig bill of sale and a orig shop manual. With only 58,000 plus miles I'm real happy as well as my other half. She's still thinking of a name...
