Well I found out- the older bushings could slip out of place like one of the original ones on my car did.  The improved style has a steel nipple that inserts into the rad support and the bushing cannot move.

Parts man said he would order both and let me pick out which one I wanted.  What is different (besides the price)?  Going on a 65 New Yorker.  Thanks- Pat

Vent tubes can be plugged- someone said the sender may be in a different place, but I can bend tubing and break out the wire stretcher, so no prob there.  Just needed to know if it would physically work and filler tube line up.  Thanks for the replies- Pat

The filler tube slipped into the old tank with a rubber grommet.  Are the later tubes attached to the tank?

My 65 New Yorker needs a tank.  I see reproductions for 67 and up, but none for a 65.  Anyone know if these tanks will interchange, or where I might find a good tank?  Thanks- Pat

Hi Ya'll! (That's Louisiana for youse-guys)!  Anyways, I'm Pat, and I'm presently under the influence of a 65 New Yorker project, a 70 Challenger Convertible, and a 96 Dodge PU.  The New Yorker was my sister's car.  We lost her to cancer in 03, and the car was passed on to me.  I'm building it as sort of a tribute car, I guess.  The color is pearl white and I'm putting a set of tru-spokes on it.  It is a 54K mile car, so the running gear is all in great condition, just changing a few odds and ends here and there.  I'll try to get some pics up later.  Thanks for the welcome!   -Pat  (Carsavior)
