I don't know what to tell ya John & P.  I know from experience that the aftermarket mounts aren't engineered to take the torque of a big block.  It's the mentality that there aren't too many left and why waste the time in the research and development department.  I had problems with a customer's Ford truck with a built 429.

im gonna save up.... and get the engine-swap.com mounts

you get the pair, shipped for 161 bucks.

like hobby says, you get what you pay for. 2 dollar mounts act will act like a two dollar anything else.

Thats Not a bad idea Matt, I'll go to the closest dealer and check. But
I think Johns best bet is to buy the $161 mounts and be done with it
once and for all. Its too much heartache and headache to bother
continuing to play around with stock replacements.

Oooh you....

 1. a small cake, the size of an individual portion, baked in a cup-shaped mold.

 a. a sexually attractive young woman.

 b. a beloved girl or woman.
I took it very easy. no tromping, no mad dashes, made sure the idle was low before shifting gear...

this thing looks like sticker glues was used to mount the metal to the rubber, it just peeled off...

I as told that the engine mounts and trans mount need to match. This is his reason for asking.

Not really necessary-but optional.
Then again it depends on how well the trans mount you installed in Sptember is holding up.
I have the magnum mount on the driver's side only,Chinese right mount and trans mount. No problems.

Lea, the driver side mount is the only one that has gone one after the
other, the passenger side is fine maybe he should do what you did and
see if he can't just order one. Depends if they sell them in sets only.

there is no new material. its funny though!

i really cant afford to do this all again with another OEM type mount. the labor rates are killing me.

so i gotta do it in one more big swoop, ill bite the bullet and buy the expensive ones, get them both intalled and that'll be it.

i hope.(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley13.gif)

I thought P was doing them?
Do you want me to get one from Raymond?

If I recall, one of those mounts I gave you.  It came out of Polaraco.  Seems to me that lasted the longest.

I can, but I'm getting tired of doing them, the last one he had put in
by my mechanics. He really is better off getting the Magnum mounts
Steve IMHO. Just get it done once and for all.

Cripes! They not that hard to do,man!!
P,send the "tree" to Dunkin' Donuts while you replace it.!! LOL!!
At least you KNOW that with the good mounts you will not have to do them again.
You can enjoy yer jelly cream even more with that piece of mind !!

Yeah I did,

I have to move the chain from behind the oil dipstick when I get a
chance dont want that damned thing to break to. I just ran out of time
and my efforts where failing to move it. I kno what I have to do now,
But this should help for the time being. I have a shot of the ripped
mount I'll post that soon. Whenever I get time next.
