Title: 1960s steel wheels

What is the stock wheel size for a '60s Newport or other C body?

Would that fit a '58 Windsor? 

I want to upgrade it from 14 to 15" wheels and use 225r75x15 tires.

Anybody have 2 or 4 clean ones?

I'm sure you could use rims from any mopar with 15" rims that is RWD.  I have just gone to the wreckers and pulled rims out of trucks, van and RWD cars.  15x6.5 is pretty common...but if you want to try a little harder, you could find some 15x7.

I was running 15x6.5 on the wagon for years...with 235/75/15's...and they looked great.  Then I upgraded the rims to 15x7 cop car rims, and they still look good.

Yes  That is true.  The offset is slightly different to clear disc brakes and so on.

I think I'd like to stay with 15 x 6.5, which was probably on most of the Fuselage C body cars I had,  I still have one left from the 70 F3, so would need 3 more... is your '59 that size Steve?

My concern was bolt pattern spacing and center hub hole size... are all the same from '58 to early 70s?

I'm pretty sure the bolt pattern is the same...and the hub register hole as well.  Simple enough to find out for sure...just use the one rim you have from the F3...and you'll know for sure.

Actually you can't, there are several different wheel bolt patterns. 5*4.5" is most common and will fitt, but Imperials up to and including 66 had 5*5.5 and for 67-73 5*5" (this includes the fuselage-Imperials), and some A-bodies had 5*4".

No, they are different.  The bolt pattern remains the same but back-spacing is considerably different.

The Pattern is 5 X 4.5 on the Soto.  Since it's drum brakes, the 71F3 wheels will work just fine.  I put 78 wheels on the 62 with no problem.

OK so 6.5 w x 15 dia with 4.5 bolt pattern is what the '71 F3 had?  Remember the 58 Windsor is really a Dodge with a Chry front clip and rear bumper & trim.  Has the Dodge 122 wb, built at Dodge Main in Deetroit.

Steve, did you put 14s or 15s on it?  It left the factory with 14s, but the newer 14s had a different back spacing which was what caused the problems I experienced.  You have also converted that car to 4-wheel disks, so it is now a different animal.
I had a similar problem with the Shelby 500s I put on the Newp until I converted that car to disks.  Both sets were 15s.  Now they fit like they were made for the car.  I never had a problem with the rear drums - and still don't.

If that Windsor still has drums I would be very wary of mounting newer rims.  Check them fully first before committing.

The 70 F3 convert had drums all around also, and that's the spare wheel that I still have. 
So hopefully that wheel will work.

Whereas my 71 F3 sedan had the optional front discs. I think it was 72 or 73 when front disc became standard. My 73 Custom Sub wagon had them.

If you need a set of 15s I still have the ones from the Newport.  I've kept them, with tires and wheel covers, in case I ever wanted to car to look "stock."  It's been ten years now.  They are standard, 15x6.5, 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern.

They would work, Scott, if somehow could be brought in a car coming east... otherwise the shipping could be killer, I'd imagine.

Actually, Leaburn was kind enough to dig up a set of road wheels for me.  The disc brake conversion on this will accept either size.  It's made for 14's

Yes, and that was my point.  That '62 has been converted and does not have the original drums.  Therefore as it currenlty exists it's not a good answer for the question.
