Title: I Know I Shouldn't Gloat But:
Post by: azblackhemi on November 29, 2012, 05:19:50 PM
I can't help it. I got my seats back for my 66 New Yorker today so I got ready to put in the new carpet and seats. When I took the old carpet out I took pictures of the floor to show you "Rust Belt" guys what a 46 year old floor can look like. LOL.

I do have to say, those are nice looking floorboards. I have ones like that on my wife's 81 Camaro. Not quite as old, true, but still falls in the pattern of original paint that shines on floorboards, period.

Those look great.  And those pics show exactly why I only buy rust free vehicles.(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif)

Now where are the pics of your new seats....???

Niiiiiice!  And I can even up the ante... my '58 Windsor from New
Mexico has floors that good!  I'm totally convinced that if you
are from the Northeast or Upper Midwest, that $1500 or 2000 haul fee to
bring a car from the SW is the best money you'll ever spend!

Those are words of wisdom right there.  Seems like a lot to ship a car...but if you've ever had to pay someone to replace rusty panels properly, you know it's cheaper by far.
