'68 drums should be 2.5" diameter; aren't '64s 3"?  If so, those '68s won't work.
To the question, and I know Steve will hate me fr this, Kanter is selling re-maned drums for those cars.  You can check their web site.

The 300 I had had a towing package in it, but the hitch was removed some time before.  Those are big drums.

That's what I was thinking, too. Non-tapered drums on tapered axles is not in the swap book.
