Ford.  Between the two of them, they strip it, install the clip, fabricate all the pieces necessary to install that clip, and the 318.

Sound like you've got a great kid there Dave. Very sorry to hear about Dallas. Not many kids getting in to the "wrenching field" anymore so if your boy wants to do it for a living he'll prabably have a great career. My youngest son is 25 and already a foreman in a truck shop.

Definitely a great job and truly great upgrade for the Ford truck. Nice he got a mentor that was able to teach him welding, something he can use for a very long time, lots of good work in that field. My prayers go out to Dallas, cancer is a horrible way to die.

Not to mention, the boy is pushing me big time to go buy my old '67 Newport 4 door back.  He also really want to do body and paint.  Hmmmm, buy my 67 back, and then get him to do body and paint for me.  Hell of an idea!!

Yep, that's how I got started, do dad's work for him because I liked it. I was lucky to have a genius take me under his wing, saw a potential and taught me how not to destroy things. I had the strength but needed the mentoring how not to destroy thing in the process of taking things apart. After that, it has been a lot more fun, and less expensive replacing things.
Good for both of you.

Well, that means you have to punish him. Keep him from working (code for playing) on cars for 48 hours. There are two benefits. One, he will give you much more deserved respect, and two, he will slow down just a hair, have to think and plan what he is going to do, thus enjoy what he is doing that much more.

I guess we can let the fact that it's a ford slide.  But that means the iol' man needs to get another 60's Mopar.

Boys, need I remind you it has an Aspen front clip, the rear diff and axle from a '76 New Yorker, and the LA 318 and 904 from a '67 Barracuda.  This thing is Ford in name and body only!!!

My former father-in-law lost his fight yesterday afternoon.  A good man gone too soon.
