Title: Started Work On My 68 300
Post by: azblackhemi on October 27, 2011, 07:56:29 PM
Well since I've had no luck selling it I decided to start turning my 68 300 into a driver. It had a pretty good dent in the back so that's where I started. Lucky for me I have a parts car. The bad thing is  the three parts I needed are all weld on so I spent half the day yesterday  drilling out spot welds. Today I fited and welded them in. I'm not going to paint it yet because I have too much customer work but I'm going to put a pair of mufflers on it and install the new dash pad I got and have the front buckets redone and drive it. Here's some pictures of todays progress. I didn't realize the one on the rack was bashed up in the back, if this is that one. As usual, great work so far. Was nice to visit a few hours as usual.

Hey Chris, how much are you paying yourself to work on your car??  Ha!!

If your ears were buring the other day I was talking about you and painting the Grem to a friend.  Wish I had the money.  However, now that Frances has a job....

Have fun on your 300!

Ahhh the joy of drilling spot welds.  I remember the countless hours spent doing just that when I had to remove the old inner fenders and rad support from car and parts car....good times.(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif) thrashingcows2011-10-28 20:55:05

Yeah I know, I still have to clean up and polish the rear bumper. It came off my parts car too. azblackhemi2011-10-29 22:55:26

The least you could do is wash it.   Flush out the snakes. (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif)

What a change a few days, and couple hundred spot welds and plug welds, can do.
