Title: 71 Finally sorta done.
Post by: firedome on September 17, 2011, 04:17:27 PM

After 2 years.... Clara's almost sorta done. Amateur paint job, lotsa
flaws, but at  least she looks better than she did and is running
after 10 yrs of not so benign neglect. Still needs valve seals yet,
couple window switches fixed, new tires, new carpet. But I saved her
from a certain Derby fate. She has amazingly good floors and underside,(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/attachments/58/IMAGE001f3.JPG)d floors and underside, be a crying shame to crash her. So here's one still alive and kickin.

Sadly I think I'll have to sell her to do the repaint and body work on
our '70 vert, which is almost an identical car to the '71.  She
runs smooth & quiet at 101k miles, 318V8/904 PS, PB, PW A/C., AM-FM
and the solidest body this side of AZ...  asking $2100.

She was slated to go to a derbier, and already on the trailer. The guy
who brought her up from Pinehurst NC sells cars mainly to derbiers, but
even he knew it was too good to crash, and thankfully gave me a call.
I'd given my phone # to some local derbiers to let me know if they
found any 70 or 71 Furys. A year later, this one came my way, and a
teriible fate was avoided.
