Title: Manual Steering Box
Post by: steve sclafani on August 25, 2011, 01:08:14 PM

I have a working manual steering box that came out of my 60 Plymouth. Can any of you guys tell me what it's worth? I may have a buyer.

Thanks,
Steve

$100-125 would be a fair price for both sides, unless it turns out to be some rare thing that isn't obvious.

If its in good shape, I would try to get more out of it. These parts are not easy to find.

Take into consideration the price of a rebuilt one, which can be closer to $350, but with the economy and everything right now, unless you have someone that wants to buy it, as you said, and really wants it, you may be able to get more.

Rebuilt ones aren't exactly common either. I wouldnt know where to find one for a FL-car, they're not listed on rareparts, bernbaum etc.

How much is the guy willing to pay for it?

Here's one from a 62-65 Plymouth...manual and in used condition for $125.

Not sure if the 61 and earlier are a different unit of not.  If so then maybe start at $250?
