Title: Power Brake Check Valve
Post by: steve sclafani on April 22, 2011, 09:17:34 AM
I'm adding Power Brakes to the 60 Fury (Ukin' Fugly) and the only part I'm missing is the check valve/ T-fitting that connects between the intake manifold-power booster-vacuum tank. Anyone know of a source for this.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks, and Happy Easter,
Steve S.

How can that be a cannister when they were still using bellows in 60

Its actually a Tee fitting with a check valve on one leg. Connects the intake manifold, booster, and the holding tank.

No Bellows! The purpose of this tee/valve is to keep pressure in the holding tank which is hidden inder the battery. Someone on another site said the P/N is 1944089.
The booster and master is from a 60 Savoy Parts Car.

Guys, I've seen both bellows and canister types on '58 to '60s.
They had several OEM vendors for brakes apparently. There's a '58 Des
in the yard here that had the canister type.
