The cylinder heads with the sleeves were used for years.  Up to around 75 or so.  Broadens your search pattern.  Any head will fit, but it has been said the older heads were better.  The sleeveless heads are hardened seats

I wrenched the snot out of my back when I was 22 by lifting off the head of my /6.  I did not realize how heavy those things are!!  It still hurts!

That was on a '70 and it had the sleeves too.  With the sleeves, when you put in your new plugs, remove the metal seal rings on the plugs.  Just un-screw them.  The sleeve bottoms are the seals.

They are not needed on a /6 with the sleeves.  The sleeves and the spark-plug create a flat seal.  The spark-plug gaskets/seals can bend the bottom of the sleeve.  I never used them on mine and never had a problem.
