Title: HP exhaust Manifold part numbers
Post by: Jason Goldsack on August 15, 2010, 04:10:22 AM
Does anyone have a list of compatible C body HP exhaust manifolds?

I would like to look for some but have no idea what part number to look for.

Just a word of caution, you will need new front  pipes made to fit the HP logs.
Plus, the HP logs do go up and above the valve covers,so the  valve covers are different as well.
Also,if your valve cover gaskets are older, buy really good quality neoprene gaskets since the HP logs cook the gaskets and valve covers.
There are a couple different wire looms that go with the HP logs, but your existing ones will work fine.
The Lo-po is not painted, the HP one is painted.
Not the differences in the plug wire arrangement.
You can simply cut off the bracket if you do not want to search for an HP valve cover.
Note added looms welded to cover for #8 plugwire

The left side cover shows the looms welded to it for #7 plugwire.

Here you can see how high the logs go above the valve covers.

Maybe block hugger headers would be better... I don't know.. I couldn't find any block huggers for the B/RB engines..

If anyone knows of a link to Block hugger headers let me know.. I have already been to the hedman site and there was nothing there.

Sanderson makes a set of shortys for Mopar big blocks too.  They won't clear a PS unit without some serious fabrication.

Have you checked with Year One?  They should be the same as those used for a Magnum or Super Commando motor.

Yep, all the resto places like YearOne sell them. You might even check with NAPA, I know I bought some there years ago, they might still have them. You need 3 if I remember correctly.
