Title: Imperial front suspension
Post by: Ralph on July 30, 2010, 05:20:49 PM
So I recently purchased a 71 Imperial and I want to rebuild the front end, while looking through a Moog catalog from 1993 I noticed no part #s for upper control arm bushings and tie rod ends, are these not available anymore?

Unknown. . .But you can try www.Justsuspensions.com (http://www.justsuspensions.com/)  You may have to call them

Luke or Jayme is the one you want to talk to.  Tell them Polaraco sent you.  That will get you nowhere, but at least they know I'm still out here.  I spent allot of money in that place. . .

Justsuspensions is in a suburb of Atlanta.  He may want to go there and match up.  That's what I was thinking of

I have no idea if 68 calipers from an IMP  fit or not but a pr. (Budd) just popped up for sale on Moparts

The Budd calipers are slab body pieces and will not fit the Fusey imps.
Imps rotors are rare as hens teeth with the 5 on 5 bolt pattern.
IIRC,Sjak experimented with Ford F150 rotors.I hope he chimes in.
I would suggest scouring all t he demo derby sites that are parting out Imps.
There was a Moparts member parting out a running driving Imp as well.

For bushings etc, there's more suppliers than Moog. Try Rare Parts, Rockauto, etc. and keep an eye on ebay :)
