Title: Dog Dishes for Fuseys
Post by: firedome on March 06, 2010, 02:35:02 AM
Anyone know if dog  dish hubhaps were available for 70/71 Fury and
what they look like?  If so I'd imagine they were found on the B
body as well and dern near impossible to find??  I like that look,

I plan to run full size wheel covers most of the time, however it's fun to change it up once in a while...

Roger,c'mon...you know the answer to this one..Ever seen  or been in a 70/70 Fury cop car???
To answer  your question is yes.
69 and newer right up to the F bodies used a plain dog dish.
Just a few different variations but basically the same.
Here on E bay there's a few different styles.

Yes, those caps are original to the car in case you needed picture proof.  Sorry, there is no closeup.  But maybe someday...

Yeh, I pretty much figgered that they had 'em, but no, never been IN a cop
car, and it's been a very long time since I SAW a 71 po-po ... and
cripes!  for those kinda prices... fuggedaboutit as far as buying
a set!!! I've seen many styles of plain Mopar dog dishes, but didn't
realize the '71s had "Plymouth Division"  written on it... in the
brochure even the Fury I shows full covers, that's why I kinda wondered
if maybe for passenger cars (non-cop cars) they were made
standard.

Stan! ... is that Paul Amato's car? What happened to it??

If I do the dogs, I'd like it to be the original or close...BUT... I do
happen to have a pair of the cool 1961 type from my old Belvy,
would they fit on 15" wheels?

Yep.
It's for sale and he won't sell it to me personally.  I somehow pissed him off in the past.  Don't know how but I did.  I think it's because I'd drop in a BB 4 speed.
I'm trying to find the money to buy it (thru someone else) but everytime I save $1.00, Pamela spends $2.00.(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif)
I need to buy some  LINK (http://natebloch.com/thedoctorvisit)

The older wheels up until 64 or 65 had a larger circle where  the dogs snap onto.
Your older dogs will not fit newr rims.

Wow, yah, that is one rare Plymmie... stick with it -no pun intended -
, maybe buy it thru a surrogate? He's around Cocoa Beach, iirc?
But what makes it rare is the /6 stick, I'd leave it alone imo.
