Anyone have a source for package tray material? Mine is a textured fiberboard.

Try any hobby shop that caters to train sets, etc.
Any big box hardware store should be able to sell it.
A friend bought some at Home Depot and used it to replace the damaged C pillar cardboard.

I had to make one for a 57 Cadillac once....it was a basket weave material. I stopped by a wallpaper store and told them what I was looking for and the lady showed me special wallcoverings that were meant to be put up and then painted. I bought one that was almost identical to the 57, except there were no holes for the speaker. I suppose either the sound would play through, or you could make holes in the stuff....

Bob brought up a good point.  At the larger wallpaper stores that cater to the commercial paperhangers, they have books and books of commercial wall coverings.  Commercial wallcoverings are heavy cloth and come in a gazillion billion textures, and of course, readilly take paint.  Good point, Bob.
