Title: 56 Savoy and 56 Belvedere
Post by: mopar111k on September 07, 2009, 05:23:12 PM
I am starting restoration of my Moms 56 Plymouth Savoy 2 door. The floorpans all need replaced along with rockers and trucnk pan, not to mention other items. Here is my question though. I have found a 1956 Plymouth Belvedere 2 door tthat has teh body work done allready except for some small items. Is this body teh same as mine? other than some options. Now I know that my savoy only has a straight 6 with a 3 on the tree, the belvedere has teh V8 with an automatic. Is this going to cause me troubles later? Thanks in advance.    (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif)

MMMMMM

First of all WELCOME

I am pretty sure they are the same.  You may encounter motor mount issues, but that should not be a major problem with 2 cars.

You'll need to rewire for the V8 and of coarse remeber th swap the rads.

If I get a chance, I'll see if I can find my 56 parts book
