Does anyone know if they made a tube K-member for the C's like the A/B/E body cars?

There are no " K" frames for C bodies, they have a complete sub frame.

My bad... what was I thinking..

What I meant was... is there a replacement for the front sub-frame.. this bugger is heavy and rack and pinion would be nice..

No.
But it would be a good idea.
It would be an engineering feat for sure.
Jason, you may have to put down the pizza cutter and pick up a MIG..

I would like to see a lightweight chrome moly front subframe with Rack, nascar style Sway bars and coil overs with tube upper and lower a-arms.. that should knock a ton of weight off of the front end of a C.

Also it would eliminate the torsion bars and give tons of room for big tube headers

I've looked at the idea, but I don't have the tools to bend the tubing.  I'm going to look into Rack and pinion first

Anyone ever weighed a stock sub-frame.. I would be curious how much weight could be saved

If I remember right, shipping weight for just a bare sub was somewhere around 280#

WOW.. I would have though that would have been heavier.. but I guess once you add the control arms and everything else.. the weight could be close to 500 lbs on the front end.
