Post by: Mike on June 27, 2009, 04:21:01 PM
Well guys, not sure if anybody is going to Carlisle this year, but I am and hopefully somebody else is, so we can meet up.  If not, is anybody looking for anything specific....that isn't ridiculously expensive?  I'll keep an eye out and if it's not too much I'll pick it up for you.  Let me know what and how much you're willing to spend, if you aren't going.

I am Canuck bound thanks to the US requirements of a Passport as of June first in order to cross the U.S. border.
Thanks to 9-11,Canadian/US relations had just became "friendlier"....
I had crossed the border once or  twice per week so I could help other Fins/Dock members and also gather parts for the BoaB..
Thanks to the US/Canadian governments,my travels are limited.
This really sux...(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif)

I might be going. Depends on whether or not my mother is back from Germany that weekend or not. I think she is. I'd like for her to watch the baby for me because i KNOW she won't last long at the show.

Also depends on whether or not I can scrape up the gas money to go after I make the final payment on my Desoto.

I agree!  So does taking off your shoes at the airport!!  Oh, but I'm lad they pad down those 85-year-old women!!!  Every time I see story about a bombing somewhere in the world, it's always those old women that are responsible!!

It's been a major pain for us Vermont'ers who go up to Montreal often -
but most states offer an enhanced drivers license now that will work in
lieu of a passport.

that black Newport ragtop - triple black with torque thrust looking wheels - I was parked next him last year on the field. Did ya notice the hurst deck lid and 1/4 extensions?  He had bought a Hurst car that was being parted out and used them on his car.... It was funny last year sitting there and seeing those in the know trying to figure that out.........

Amen Steve!  That's why I never liked the fresh-air system in the Cordoba; it drew the air from under the hood.  It was constantly hot!  Same goes for my Dakota.

I did notice the motor and saw the tubing at the back of it.  I thought maybe he was trying to cool the front brakes.  But that picture of the car's interior - hideous!

I've always found the ventilation system on early Chryslers very adequate.  My Challenger did not have AC, and I drove it for 48,000 miles in two years while visiting Frances before we were married.  That's driving many miles in the Central California Valley in the summer.  The same goes for my Newport, although I do appreciate that car's AC!  I don't know why someone would want to add such an ugly set-up if the only reason was to blow air into the car.  And hot air at that!
Title: Carlise '09
Post by: Steve on July 15, 2009, 10:14:35 AM
Not only that, but I was thinking of exhaust leaks.  We all know how big block manifolds tend to loosen up.

They got lax on the fresh air vents because people didn't use them and more and more cars had air in them.  Now, try to find a car without A/C
