Title: 62' 361 oil capacity?
Post by: Jon Doersch on May 10, 2009, 10:05:10 AM
Can somebody tell me how much oil to put in my 62' 361 when I change the oil? I don't have a service manual (yet) and am having a hell of a time figuring it out.

Simple

All Mopar motors of that vintage, including the Slant 6 too 5 quarts with a filter.  In fact, unless it was special purpose, ie. Motor Home or big truck, all Chrysler Gas V8's took 5 quarts with a filter.

Now if you had my Dodge truck, it would take 3 Gallons.

Cool. Thanks. I thought it would probably be 5 quarts but since my experience is with ford and chevy products I thought I would ask.
