Title: Excitor Wire
Post by: Guests on June 26, 2008, 05:04:36 AM
Hello all.  I have a question that I am having trouble finding a 'definite' answer to...

When I swapped in my 360 I put in a Coil-In-Cap HEI Ignition (Yes - Chevy Style) so I had one wire hookup.  This allowed me to remove about 40ft of wiring from under the hood!

When I did this I also re-ran the main power feed from the alternator and cleaned up some of the other wiring.  BUT I made a boo-boo.  I have what appears to be a resistive wire?  Where does it go?

I even looked in my service books including my good ol' trusty vintage Chiltons\\Haynes w/o a definite answer. (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif)

Any\\all help is appreciated!  BTW it is a Delco-Remy style alternator.

Directly off of the alternator...it is a 3-wire alternator.
