Title: You can dream, can't you?
Post by: Stan Paralikis on May 15, 2008, 04:17:13 AM
It's fantasy time boys and girls.
You were polishing a hood ornament when  the Chrysler Genie appeared.
You are granted one wish:

You will be allowed to travel in a time machine and order the ONE car you've always fantasized about, and be able to take it back to the present with you.

For me, it would be a '67 Newport slantback, low-line no option car with a four speed in Regal Blue.

What's yours?

Can't I just go back in time and stay there?

No.  Because we were already there and too stupid not to do what what I'm fantaszing about.  (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif)

Yeah. . .but think of all the things we weren't stupid about.  And all the things we know now.  And And And all those cars we sold we shouldn't have sold. . .  (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif)

A Bugatti Atlantic Coupe

Then I could sell it today for 6 million and buy whatever Mopar I want!

(ps- the Chrysler Genie would understand my intentions and would probably let me order a Cunnigham C4R also.....)

1960 and buy a 300F with the 4-speed.

If two wishes, '65 and get an L 'vert with 4-speed.

'47, go to Kingman AZ and buy a surplus B-17!!!!  Or, get one of the few B-32 Dominators ever built - gorgeous plane!  Ohhh, get a P-61 Black Widow!!!

Ah, we were talking cars, weren't we....

Only 9 of those were built, wern't there?? (http://www.chipmunk-scripts.com/smiley/shockedsmiley.jpg)

Extremely rare, 4 speed, one-of-a-kind cars, seems to be the general consensus here.(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif)

JB the only problem is you'll have to go find Butch in the past to get a Hemi in that car because the factory didn't make one. (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif)

Easy There Ambra

He made a general statement saying Chrysler didn't make a Hemi then.  Yes they did, but not in a C as a factory package.  I read it to say talk to Butch to find out how to put a Hemi in it.
OK  I read it wrong.  ARLAN  SPEAK ENGLISH! (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif)(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif)(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif)(http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif)

If I could go back in time I think I would get either A. A 1957 Dodge
D-500 with the 354 V-8 or A 1960 Plymouth Belvedere Sonoramic Commando
with the Sonoramic Commando V-8 the 383 engine with the Cross- Ram
intake manifolds and the Torqueflite transmission and whatever positive
rear (suregrip) if it was available and of course it has to be a coupe
and Black! Wooo I think we are going to go with the Plymouth!

depends how far back you let me go
1958 loaded imperial... black on black.... mob staff car to the hilt...

or a 1958 Plymouth, ala Christine, like the good doc has...

60's... 66 imperial just like above or a 69 300 coupe loaded, black with white guts...

70's obviously a new 72 new yorker with nothing freaking broke on it... and more options... or maybe another 74 NYB... i like do overs.

from the 80's i dunno... maybe a sinatra imperial, or a magnum... or fifth ave... but i'd rather go farther back

Last night at our local car show, I was with two gentlemen.
One had a '64 Lincoln 'vert.  The other had a '68 C-a-d-d-y.

We have 2 original owners at our cruise nights...one still has his 68 GTX!
It has some rot around the rear wheelwells, but he drives it all over. The other still has his 1956 Crown Victoria (mildly customized) he bought new! More power to them (http://www.moparfins.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif)
