General Tech- - BRAKES / Dust shield to spindle gasket.
« on: August 25, 2010, 04:47:16 AM »
On my disc brakes, there is a foam type gasket that goes between the dust shield plate and the spindle.  Don't see them listed anywhere.  Are they available or make my own?

When it rains, it pours.  Of course we all know that.  I'm not looking for sympathy.  But sometimes you wonder about your own sanity when trying to be understanding how life works.

General Mopar Discussions / Steveee. I need a huge favor : (
« on: June 26, 2010, 01:23:19 PM »
Steve, I need a huge, HUGE favor.  I'm coming to you with my tail 'tween my legs.
Would you , pretty please, ask E-Booger for a copy of the July, 1999 issue of Mopar Action tech article on Mopar distributors?
Please don't say:
1.  "I have it somewhere.  I gotta find it. "  Doesn't do me any good now, does it?
2.  "Did you look  (blah - blah-bla)?"  Yes I did already.
3.  "Why?  What do you wanna know?"   Forget it.
Just ask him if he can do it or not.
It has to do with electric doors....

General BS and Laughs / FIRST Kill ! ! !
« on: June 13, 2010, 11:22:33 AM »
I've been waiting for this one.
I'm at a light in The Nyb and one of those new "Charger" R/T wannabees wants to race me.  I can see it in his fiery stare straight ahead.   That's all it takes to push my testosterone laden buttons!  Lil weasal.  I stayed AHEAD of him for almost 2/3 of a mile before I said "bye-bye.  I proved my point"
Can't figure out why I still do this....

General BS and Laughs / I don't know why I am like this...

I have ad on moparts looking for a 4 speed.  Basically, I'll looking for a steal. The more I can squeeze out of them, the better.
I got an email from Tampa.  Has everything I'm looking for.  No price.  Just a #.
I hold off a week less he think I'm too anxious.  He signed his email "Mopar Charlie".  I googled it and apparently he's still one of the old skool goodguys.  I call him.
He says he wanted to give me a lead on a kid he's helping out.  He takes my # and later "the kid" calls me.  "Corey" is green. VERY green.  He had no idea of what to charge and basically I could have ripped him off.
I couldn't do it.  We had a nice long chat and I wish this kid was mine.  I told him, not to sell it yet.  Told him to discuss it with Mopar Charlie, and in WIW topics in forums.  Then to call me.
This is why I'll never get ahead.

I have a chance to pick up for chump change a Borg Warner T10 4 speed (aka a Muncie M-20, 21).  We know tt is absolutely without a doubt that.
Here's the problem:
10 spline input, 26 spline out, Mopar  mount!!!!
AS they say in Peoria: WTF is up with that?????
I know Ma used a Borg Warner as a 1963 only 4 speed but the input spline and lack of a tranny mount has got me very confused. Also, the 63 mopar B/W used a Ball & trunion.   Every ID chart I can find does not show this combo.
