Hey guys
« on: March 22, 2008, 06:56:19 AM »

well hey guys i've been gone a while.
we as you guys know the 6th of March the missus gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.
well at first we thought that Caemon-Eros(the baby) was doing fine but then he started to lose weight.not babies normally do this but they stop in a week or so, but Caemon decided to keep losing weight. right now we are in Devos Childrens Hospital in Grand Rapids. back in December me and the missus went down to Grand Rapids to have testing done. well we know know that Caemon has Smith-Lemli Opitz Syndrome. We have been here since tuesday the 18th and they are saying we wont be leaving until the 26th, or 27th. Right now me and Santania are doing fine, just a little worried. they have gotten him to gain some weight but once he gains weight he loses it by the next day.

Smith-Lemli Opitz Syndrome(SLOS/RSH) is basically the bodies inability to properly digest cholesteral(spelling?) some of the symptomes are small physical defects, and mental defects(Autism has almost been diagnosed already) and failure to thirve(no weight gain and poor feeding) but today his skin tone is slightly better and he's a little more active.

Best wishes to you and your family....having a sick baby/child is one of the toughest things to have to endure....my oldest daughter was in and out of the hospital many times when she was young and it was never easy....
