Yeah,there was once a decent size hole in here.Ray welded it up as well.In primer and new sealer applied..

While Ray had the caulking gun out, he sealed up the right quarter panel. He tried to duplicate the factory ob as close as possible---messy!! LOL!!
It is now ready for me to finish priming,paint and undercoating...

What did I do???
I was cleaning out the old sealer in the trunk.Most of it was either missing,already lifted ,or cracked up.From the rotted out rear window there was lots of water beating up on the old sealer.I found surface rust under most of it.I buffed it clean to get ready to re-do it.
It was all bare metal underneath--no paint-no primer! Make no wonder these cars rotted out in this area!!
Not a hard job,but might as well do it right..

The belly is getting cleaned..
I managed to remove the old fuel line in one piece.I can now fabricate and copy a new one..

I like bending my own lines.It is MUCH cheaper than buying the repro lines ..They are made of the same steel,IMHO

lol lets not get into doing things twice now. i had to tear that carb apart 3 times to get it running lol.
but hey doing it 5 times yourself is still cheaper that paying someone else
