So that's where the pollution is coming from! The prevailing winds in Canada always fall on the East Coast!

I had not done much on the car lately.I have been preoccupied with my mortgage renewal and all that comes with it!! My wife has been keeping me busy shopping for the bathroom and I just finished assemblying
our brandy new BBQ.It was cheaper than the supplies!! LOL
So,out of my mad money I had to buy supplies to carry on with the body work.
Hoping to get back on it this weekend..
$400.00 dont go far in this schtuff...

Ray came to town Saturday and spent the day finishing up all the welding on the BoaB.
He needed his Mig back after its almost two year stay in my garage.

The original decklid is toast.Completely blown out all across and the right corner where the "Chrysler" badge used to be is gone.
So,my replacement is in good shape except for a small area starting to blow out.

Without touching the outer skin,I cut out the rot about 1/8" below the edge. Then it was treated with Phosphouric acid and rust convertor..

Ray took over and finished the repair.
By far this is Ray's best work.
No filler--all metal

Sad to see the welder go,but it is a step ahead to the next phase of the car's restoration.
I cannot say in words how much Ray's contribution to the project means to me.And I cannot thank him enough.
I also had learned so much from him as well.
We have become good friends despite him moving an hour away from the city.
Thanks sooooo much Ray!! Oh,and thanks to his wife,Kerry for letting him spend so much time in my garage! LOL
Without him,the car would have been pop-riveted and Bondo'd together!! LOL
Ray will be popping in from time to time, but now it is Rusty's turn to let loose on the body work.!
I can prep the inner panels, but Rusty's expeertise will take over and I may even learn a few things along the way.
