All the sleeve nuts for the VIP and the 300 were made by my world class machinist next door neighbor. I started with 5/8 x 7 bolts that I liberated from work. He cut off the threaded end, drilled out and tapped to 3/8 to capture the stud and then milled the 7/8 head to 9/16 and voila, free sleeve nuts...

I got the 301 intake and HP logs back from the machine shop.
The intake was hot-tanked and sandblasted. It is now free of years of carbon build up.I will paoint it when it gets warmer to do so.In the meantime it is in primer to keep it from flashing.
The HP logs came out absolutely beautiful.I had them planed for a good seal. They also were checked for cracks and are mint!!
I can picture the eye candy when the BoaB is done when I pop open the hood..

Those H/P are beautiful!!! So you got em planed for? I guess you are going for the factory metal on metal seal, nothing wrong with a set of fel-pro's squat between em and the heads for trouble free good measure. If you silicone the manifold to the turkey tin i'm gonna come up there and do way wit ya! You DO know what gasoline does to silicone don't ya???

When I got the 300 I drained 8qts of "fluid" from the base on the first oil change. Tinkered with the carb for a few days and gave up on it, thought it was a total loss. After a couple of trips to the store with empties and I decided to yank the intake and investigate and low and behold, blue silicone all around the lifter bores from, you guessed it, the intake! $13 later (gasket on each side of the tin as recommended) you could balance a cigarette on the valve cover...

   Is it done yet?

That is, unless these guys find yer contraband stash FIRST!  Look out the window...

Jimmyray,I planed the logs "just in case".Took out the guessing about not knowing their history.I had warped logs burn out gaskets in the past. Not going to take any chances, and will have gaskets on hand.
I am very well aware about the turkey pan.I made sure about that when I rebuilt my 440 in the NY'er.Familiar territory,my friend.
Matt,She will stay a G.
H equipped ,but will stand true to her roots.
I am having fun with car.How many--or when was the last time you seen an H equipped 4 door??
I simply love the look of the dual snorkel and HP logs when you open  the hood.It is a childhood dream of mine that brings me back to Aunt Theresa's 300.
Like the parts hog I am,I will keep all the original parts and use them for door stops, wheel chocks, and oversize paper weights..LOL

The NOS parts I won on E-pray finally arrived after a lenghty tour of the U.S. and Customs office. These pieces attach to the end of the front fenders sorta like eyebrows. The script was never installed-same as the trim pieces. They are still in the Chrysler factory wrapping!! How cool is that?
I am very pleased with the condition and quality of the parts.
Thanks to Mat from NOS Only
All I have to do is make the rest of the car match!!!! LOL

Spring is here!! FINALLY!!
I had a great weekend touring around getting more parts.
I got lots of odds and ends that has been on the back of my mind.
Now all my trim is complete--even when I count the schtuff I bought from Chris that is coming from Arizona via Steve's 300 that is being shipped.
I did my annual pilgrimage to National Moparts and cased his yard-LOL!!
I scored some cherry potmetal off a Southern '68 300 I desperately needed.
Ordered my new headliner.
Bought new rad cap, spring hose clamp kit,gas tank grommet, and the anti wobble power steering bracket.
Also got a sock for the sending unit I got last year in Joisey.
Bought all the detail stickers needed under the hood
I scabbed a 383 4bbl fuel line and complete carb/trans kickdown linkage.All for 340.00 CDN
But that was only Saturday...
Sunday I went to Jack  Forkey's for get new repro outside door handles,C body HP logs--again! and a replacement cop wheel for the Dippy All for 240.00 US
This week after work it is time to clean and organize the garage
Work will start soon!

I also scored another right rear door for $50.00 that is in excellent shape and still wearing its factory paint--coincidently is ....MM1 Turbine Bronze! Less prep work, but I will have to swap out the NY window glass and trim.
The green door I started to strip and found a thick layer of bondo hiding some serious damage.I originally intended to use it but it is now considered for parts only.
