I used the specail tool Steve loaned to me to pull the old control arm bushing out.
It was not loose, but was swelled and rotten on the edges..

Since the brakes were completely redone,I did not want to disconnect the brake hose and bleed the brakes again.
So,I removed the backing plate from the knuckle and let it sit on the frame.
A little more work, but it gave me a chance to clean up the knuckle.

Bent strut rod...yup you should replace them.  You will need a rod from another 65-68 C-body, the slab side and fusey cars use different rods...you may remember how I know....

I think I saw new ones from Just suspension, or some such company?

I'm sure I do on something 65-68 sitting back there. In fact I probably have about 7 or 8 pairs. Let me now if you want to pay shipping from way Out West.

Ship them to the Joisey Mob boss's house.
I plan on going there to deliver a set of road wheels for the  "plucked chicken"

Got the NOS bushings pressed in today, and also got the pesky sleeve out of the lowerr control arm.
Real bugger to get out and this is what's left of it..
